Welcome to the virtual press room of the 4th World Water Forum.
The 4th World Water Forum took place from 16th to 22nd of March, 2006 in Mexico City. Close to 20,000 people from throughout the world participated in 206 working sessions where a total of 1600 local actions were presented.
Participants included official representatives and delegates from 140 countries out of which 120 mayors and 150 legislators, experts, NGOs, companies and civil society representatives were involved. The Ministerial Conference brought together 78 Ministers (see numeralia).
The media was represented by more than 1,600 journalists from throughout the world (see table of data) covering the different subjects and parts of the 4th World Water Forum (see clipping and analysis).
