1st International Water and Film Event

The 1st International Water and Film Event took place during the 4th World Water Forum. The central theme of the Event was “For a new water culture” and enjoyed the participation of many different countries.

The event was organized by the Secretariat of the 4th World Water Forum, the World Water Council, the International Secretariat for Water (Quebec), the Water Academy (France), UNDP, UNESCO, the Mexican Commission for Arts and Culture (CONACULTA) and the National “Cineteca”.

195 films in various categories were presented.  The winners of each category were as follows:

SHORT FILMS
1st Place - Water in the Mirror of the Andean World (France)
2nd Place. - The Stave-Weir of Lucern (Switzerland)
3rd Place. – Water First (United States of America)
4th Place. - Public Bath (Japan)

SPOTS
1st place. - Aguas con el Agua (Mexico)
2nd place - Ni para un Vaso (Mexico)
2nd place. - 8 Segundos (Mexico)
3rd place. - Agua (Colombia)
3rd place- Toma Conciencia (Honduras)
